A while back I did a wee sample swap with Jeroen van Gaalen from Whisky Oss. That gave me a change to taste this whisky which is not available in the Netherlands as it is a distillery only bottle.

Review 632: Glenglassaugh 1978 36 Year

It’s been a while since we had a OWN bottle and now finally we have received our Christmas dram (late due to sample bottle delivery problems). For the end of the year we doubled our normal budget to have ourselves an extra luxurious whisky that would have fitted the spirit of the time we where supposed to receive it. So to taste this in the right atmosphere I’ve put on some Christmas carols, ho ho ho.

Review 598: Glenturret 1977 35 Year

It is not often nowadays (in the overhyped and tense market) that you’ll find such an old whisky from an independent bottler that is relatively affordable. This brings Kintra Whisky back to it’s glory day’s where it had, more often than not, beautiful older whisky’s on the market. Let’s find out how this one performs in my glass.
