Review 539: Caperdonich 1996 18 Year

I had this sample laying around for quite some time now and today was finally the time to open it up and check it out. I fell in love with Caperdonich after tasting the Caperdonich 1972 36 Year by Gordon & MacPhail (Reserve). I don’t expect this dram will match the experience of the 1972, but still I’m very curious how it performs in my glass. Let’s find out.

Review 518: Inchgower 1995 20 Year

This is the 18th and final whisky of the 2nd edition (2016) of the Whisky ProefOlympics (tasting Olympics) a blind tasting competition based in The Netherlands. Yet again a new expression for me. But thats the fun of blind tasting competitions like this: you get the change to taste something you haven’t had in your glass yet. BTW: I have tasted this blind. Well let’s see how this one performed in my glass.
