Review 314: Macduff 16 Year

The last of the three whiskies I found at the Vom Fass store in Germany is this 16 year old Macduff. It’s offered at 43% and you can select your own bottle size. I opted for a small 10cl bottle to taste this. The only thing I miss is the details about this expression there is no mention of the distillation year, chill filtration, colouring, etc. That would give it an extra dimension for me.

Review 310: Bunnahabhain 24 Year

I heard some people talk about the Vom Fass (from the barrel) shops in Germany, but I never encountered one for myself. This week I was visiting Oldenburg in the North of Germany and I saw a Vom Fass shop there. So I had to go in and have a look for myself. There was a nice row of small barrels (approx. 50 liters) with bourbon, Single malt, blends and other spirits.
